Monthly Blogging recap-March 2020
blogging

Happy April, I am sharing my blogging results from March 2020. While March was unexpected for the entire world, we are staying strong. Before miss Rona came through an acted a completed fool, I made a choice to start being consistent with my blog. I am a creative person, and writing is an outlet for me. So, I went to work! I began to set some time aside to produce content for TPS and all of my social media channels.

I come up with ideas for content a week before March 1st. For example, in February week 3, I am gathering up copy for blog titles, popular keyword and etc. Also, I am setting up photoshoots with my photographer, and editing and writing my content as well. The goal is to have everything at least the first 2 weeks scheduled. I always edit my blog post the next day before posting. It’s great to have a fresh set of eyes on your content before publishing. I use a printed content calendar from Planoly and a digital organizer like Trello.

I have one ongoing paid collab for my website, along with an ambassadorship partnership so that content is already created. This is very helpful because that’s less content I have to think about, research and etc.

I started a newsletter too. This is usually last to do on my list for the month.

With Instagram, I learned to set aside a day and time to create captions and schedule my photos. I’ve been using the app LATER to schedule important content. The overall goal is to work smarter not harder.

-Share your website everywhere. Blogging is a business and it’s all about getting your content out there!

Total:

  • Blog Post 2x per week = 8 to 12
  • Newsletter 1x per month.
  • Instagram 5 to 6 photos per week with corresponding insta-stories.

I reach out to brands on Tuesday and Wednesday and even Thursdays. Yes, I am still pitching ideas during isolation. I need content and they need exposer-its a win-win. #Workfromhome

Any brand that I am working with for the up and coming month is always top priority and is always completed first. If a brand and I decided to work together mid-month, I would go back to my calendar to see what I can rearrange.

That’s really it! Feel free to share and use these blogging tips. xo
