Summer skincare Roundup & Routine

My official Summer skincare roundup and routine is finally ready to share. My concerns at the moment are clearing away my dark spots and any hyperpigmentation on my face. Then of course blackheads, acne, are reoccurring concerns-but I’ve purchased some product for that too! So let’s get into this roundup! Everything is also under $100. You know TPS got you when it comes to a great budget buy for both Fashion and Beauty items.

Step 1 (Day and Night)- Facial Wash: The Ordinary (ULTA purchase).

I am very much used to lathering up my face wash, but this one here was somewhat of an oil base. I personally wouldn’t use this everyday-just only when I wore makeup. But it was a great try and under $10. Another great wash is Clean Skin Gel from the Sephora brand.

I however purchased Micellar Cleanser water for the days I don’t wear any makeup.

Step 2 (Day and Night)- Toner: The Ordinary brand is on this list twice! Their toner has been sold out for weeks online at Sephora, and after reading the reviews- I had to purchase it. Under $10, it’s a toner that tackles dark spots, its gentle to use, and did I mention under $10? FYI, use this toner at night only.

The Caudale Vino Brightening set I purchased came with toner as well (can be used day or night). This can be applied with a cotton round-better yet Chanel cotton pads. They are only $20 USD for 100 extra soft cotton pads. Extra layers and of course the iconic Chanel logo. The purchase comes with 3 sample sized gifts.

Mask– After cleansing, exfoliating would be the next step. It’s only required to do 2-3 days per week. Removing dead skin is an absolute must! For blackheads, I use Philosophy pore extractor. I place this around my nose area.

I also use this mask 1-2 times a week by Herbivore. It’s a brightening mask featuring Pineapple Enzyme and Micronized Brazilian Tourmaline gemstone.

SerumCaudalie Ani Dark Spot serum that tackles dark spots. This can be applied to the neck, face and chest day and night.

Step 3 (Day and Night) Moisture: Caudalie moisturizer, apply on the face and neck. The brand also has a night moisturizer that didn’t come with the set.

Additional product:

Vitamin C serum (Day and night) See here, here and here.

SPF (day only) SuperGoop– The only brand I am using all Summer!

Acne- I heard this Mario Badescu drying lotion was legit. Since it’s under $20-why not give it a try?
